Features Wheelieometer
Time the duration of bike wheelies using your phones accelerometer and this app, which works as a wheelie meter duration timer.
A leaderboard records the 10 longest wheelies.
Wheelie detection can be customised.
The device self-calibrates to take into account the orientation of the phone and its mounting angle.
You will need a handlebar mount that securely fixes your phone to the bikes handlebars. The app needs no special permissions and contains no adverts.
User settings and leaderboard data are stored locally on the device. The user interface is available in English, French, German, Italian or Spanish.Instructions1.
Install the app on your Android device.2.
Mount the device securely on your handlebars so it cannot fall off or move about.
Handlebar mounts are widely available from online retailers.3.

Check the display is the right way up.
If not, set the screen rotation to automatic in your devices settings.4.
Press Start.
You will be prompted for the riders name.
Make sure the bike is on level ground and not leaning to the side, an initial angle measurement is taken to account for the devices mounting position.5.
The main display turns yellow, indicating the app is ready to detect wheelies.
When you start wheelieing the display turns green, or red if the duration of the wheelie exceeds the previous maximum.
When you stop wheelieing the display returns to yellow (or blue if the last wheelie was the longest so far), and the app is ready to detect the next wheelie.6.
When you have finished doing wheelies press Stop.7.
A leaderboard of the ten longest wheelies can be viewed by pressing Scores (wheelie detection must be in the stopped state to access the leaderboard).
The leaderboard can be cleared.

Settings can be changed to fine-tune how wheelies are detected, set a default rider name, enable or disable the prompt for a rider name whenever Start is pressed, and set how the longest wheelie is defined (from leaderboard, since the app was started or since Start was pressed).
Setup can only be accessed when wheelie detection is in the stopped state.
Settings can be reset to their defaults.
The setup screen also shows the app version.9.
Exit the app using the device Back or App button.Calculation ParametersMinimum Angle sets the angle by which the front of the bike must be raised to count as a wheelie.
With the Tilt Sensor off, if the front of the bike falls below this angle the wheelie is determined to have ended.
If the tilt sensor is on, the wheelie is not detected to end until the front of the bike falls below this angle AND the sideways tilt of the bike is less than the entered Minimum Tilt Angle.
This stops the end of the wheelie being detected if the rider swerves or steers with the front wheel in the air to help their balance.
The Averaging Time is the time over which instantaneous angle measurements are averaged to provide more stable measurement values.DisclaimerIt is the riders responsibility to exercise due care and attention when using the app.
Awareness of vehicles and pedestrians must always take precedence over operating or viewing the app.
Do not mount the Android device where it impairs the operation of the bikes controls or manoeuvrability.
